About the event
As a mom of 3 daughters, and my oldest being 13, I have experienced what was once the "dreaded" period talk. I remember when I was growing up, this was taboo and attached a sense of shame to my body and the cycles that make me a woman. This brought up a lot of my own negative self talk when I was recognizing the signs that her body was changing, and I needed to have "the talk" soon. I knew I wanted to teach my daughter differently, I wanted to teach her that her body is beautiful and amazing. I wanted to make her feel empowered and proud of her body.
This workshop is for mothers and daughters to learn the biology behind the female body, what changes happen to us as we transition into womanhood, and about how we can live in coherence with our cycles.
